  • sl st: slip stitch
  • sc: single crochet

Instructions

Main Body

  1. Foundation Row: Ch 35.
  2. Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (33 dc)
  3. Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as dc), *fpdc around next st, bpdc around next st; repeat from * across, ending with fpdc around last st. Turn.
  4. Row 3: Ch 2, *bpdc around next st, fpdc around next st; repeat from * across, ending with bpdc around last st. Turn.
  5. Repeat Rows 2-3: Continue alternating rows until the piece measures approximately 38 cm in length. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Assembly

  1. Fold the crocheted piece in half with the textured side facing out.
  2. Join yarn at one side edge. Using sc, close the sides of the mitt (except the top edge) to form a pouch. Fasten off.

Cuff and Loop

  1. Cuff: Rejoin yarn at the top edge. Sc evenly around the opening of the mitt. Join with sl st. Fasten off.
  2. Loop: Ch 15 and attach to the top corner with a sl st on the opposite side to form a loop. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
