Crochet Festive Whimsical Santa's Gift Pouch

Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn in red, white, and green
• 4.5 mm (G) crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Stitch marker
• Buttons or decorative embellishments for closure (optional)

Gauge:

12 double crochets = 4 inches

Finished Size:

Approximately 10 cm wide and 12 cm high

Abbreviations:

• ch - chain
• dc - double crochet
• sc - single crochet
• sl st - slip stitch
• st - stitch
• RS - right side
• WS - wrong side

Instructions:

Body of Pouch:

1. Ch 25.  
2. Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across. (22 dc)  
3. Row 2: Ch 2, turn, dc in each dc across. Repeat Row 2 until piece measures 10 cm.  
4. Change to white yarn at the beginning of the next row.  
5. Row 5: Ch 2, dc in each dc across.  
6. Continue in white for 5 more rows.  
7. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Creating the Flap:

1. Fold the top 7 cm of the pouch down to form a flap.  
2. Sew down the sides of the flap to secure it in place.

Decoration:

1. Using green yarn, create small chain stitches to form a Christmas tree shape or using red yarn to create small stars.  
2. Sew decor to the front of the pouch.  
3. Optional: Attach buttons for a secure closure.

Finishing:
