Hat:

1. With green yarn, create a magic circle.

5. Round 4: *sc in next 2 sts, inc; rep from * around. (24 sts)
6. Continue increasing in this pattern until the desired circumference is reached, approximately 56 sts for an adult size.
7. Work even in sc until the hat measures about 7 inches from the top.
8. Switch to ribbing:
