Materials Needed:- Worsted weight cotton yarn in cream
- Crochet hook size H/5.0mm
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Approximately 10 x 10 inches
Gauge:14 stitches and 16 rows = 4 inches in single crochet
Abbreviations:- ch - chain
- sc - single crochet
- dc - double crochet
- st(s) - stitch(es)
- sp - space
- Start by chaining 41.
- Row 1: Sc in the second ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (40 sc)
- Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), skip the first sc, *ch 1, skip next sc, dc in next sc; repeat from * across, turn.
- Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each dc and ch-1 sp across, ending with sc in top of turning ch, turn. (40 sc)
- Rows 4-5: Repeat Row 1.
- Row 6: Repeat Row 2.
- Row 7: Repeat Row 3.
- Repeat Rows 4-7: Continue until the dishcloth measures approximately 10 inches in length, ending with two rows of single crochet.
- Fasten off and weave in all ends using the tapestry needle.
