  • Large knitting needles (US size 15 or 10mm)
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle

8 stitches x 12 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Abbreviations

  • CO: Cast On
  • k: Knit
  • p: Purl
  • RS: Right Side
  • WS: Wrong Side
  • BO: Bind Off

Instructions

  1. Cast On
CO 30 stitches using your preferred cast-on method.
  2. Work in Pattern
    1. Row 1 (RS): k all stitches.
    2. Row 2 (WS): p all stitches.
  3. Texture Variation (Optional)
To add textured fibers: intermittently weave in strands of different textured fibers or yarns as desired throughout the rows. This step is optional but adds an exciting textural contrast.
  4. Repeat Rows 1-2
Continue repeating rows 1 and 2 until the piece measures the desired length, approximately 36 inches for a throw.
  5. Bind Off
BO all stitches loosely to maintain edge elasticity.
  6. Finishing
Weave in ends using a tapestry needle. Optionally, add fringes by cutting additional yarn strands and attaching them to the ends of the piece for added flair.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different sizes and colors to better match your home décor. This piece can be easily customized by altering the width or adding more unique texture fibers throughout the knitting process.
